Protecting a Lakeside Renovation Before Summer Storms Rolled In
We got called to a wood-frame home near Dream Lake where the crew had already stripped the old porch and left joists exposed. The morning felt heavy and wet, and you could smell fresh-cut pine mixed with lake humidity. A loose dog kept nosing around the open side yard, and the owner was worried about safety, privacy, and keeping debris off the neighboring lot. With afternoon rain building fast, we knew the fence had to go in before the site turned slick and the work got pushed back.
We set our panels tight along the walk path, used driven posts where the ground stayed soft, and added bracing near the access point so the gate wouldn't sag once the mud hit. Our crew worked the corners first because that’s where gusts usually start lifting lightweight material in Dream Lake. By the time the clouds opened, the property stayed secure, the neighbors had a clean boundary, and the renovation kept moving without one incident at the edge of the site.
I watched the storm come through and never worried once, because your fence stayed put and kept the whole place under control.
